Q. What things will I have to deal with when installing a body lift?
First off would be getting the rusted bolts off. We recommend you give them a good soaking the night
before with liquid wrench or WD-40. Other items include fan shroud relocation, clutch rod, shift rods,
kick-down lever (a/t), sometimes brake lines from master cylinder to valve, rear and Aux gas tank hoses,
E-brake cables, steering shaft angles and possible bumper relocation.

Urethane Body Mounts and Hardware
Replaces your old worn-out rubber body mounts. It's a must if you're doing a frame-up project.
We use 7/16" hardware with all the correct size washers you can't find in hardware stores and the urethane bushing inserts.

Urethane Body Mounts$70.00

Body Mount Hardware Kit$60.00

Extreme Heavy Duty Body Lifts with Hardware

Body lifts are used to gain clearance for larger tires without going to excessive suspension lifts and creating extreme drive shaft angles. The body lift also maintains a better center of gravity which means less body roll when cornering. Another reason for using a body lift is to add clearance needed for some transmission/transfer case swaps. We offer body lift amounts of 1', 2' and 3'. Body lifts feature mounting hardware consisting of 7/16" grade 8 bolts, all the correct size cad plated washers, and cad plated mount inserts to prevent over tightening. The Deluxe kit is recommended and includes our urethane body mounts. If the body mounts have been replaced recently you can save money by going with the basic kit. The 1" kit uses taller urethane body mounts with no added block for those who want just a little extra clearance.

1" Body Lift ( Hardware, Taller Body Mounts)   $140.00
2" Body Lift Kit ( Hardware, lift Blocks)             $140.00
3"  Body Lift Kit ( Hardware, lift Blocks)            $150.00
2"  Body Lift Extreme Kit w/ Mounts                     $170.00
3"  Body Lift Extreme Kit w/ Mounts                    $180.00

Heavy Duty Clutch Rod

You can always cut and weld to lengthen your stock clutch rod when installing a body lift on manual transmission Broncos, but why bother when the stock rods are known for breaking at the ends leaving you stranded without the use of your clutch. The Extreme duty clutch rods using offset clevis ends and include new clutch rod bushings. The rods are adjustable so you can dial-in the perfect length.

Heavy Duty Clutch Rod for 1" Body Lift  $68.00
Heavy Duty Clutch Rod for 2" Body Lift$68.00
Heavy Duty Clutch Rod for 3" Body Lift$68.00

Other items to deal with when installing a body lift.
Depending on the year and options of your Bronco, and the amount of  a body lift you are doing, different things in this list will apply.
Fan shroud (not radiator) relocation, clutch rod, shift rods, kick-down lever (a/t), brake lines from master cylinder to valve, rear gas tank hoses,
Aux gas tank hose, E-brake cables, steering shaft angles, and bumper relocation, and Twin Stick or other shifter plate.

Other items you may need

Radiator/Fan Shroud: Many don’t believe it is necessary to move
the radiator when body lifting. For proper cooling system efficiency,
your radiator (and shroud) should be centered in front of your fan. We have
added 2” drop brackets for lowering yours back down to stock height.
Extended Lower Radiator Brackets, set  $85.00

Shift linkage: C4 ’s will need extended shift linkage. We prefer this simple
bolt on extension, otherwise cutting and welding an extension into the
linkage is necessary. Attaches to the stock shift bar at the transmission
and extends it to connect to the stock linkage.
C4 Shift Linkage Extention, 2” Body Lift$55.00

Brake Lines from Master Cylinder to the Proportioning valve or Block
valve: These stainless steel braided hoses replace the old factory rubber
and hard line hoses from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve.
Sold in pairs. Please specify brake set up when ordering to get proper fitting sizes.
Year of Bronco, Type of Master Cylinder, Ect.
Stainless Brake Lines$100.00

Gas tank filler hoses: This 2” ID 1’ long section of filler hose will replace
your rotted or leaking original. Fits main tank.
Gas Filler Hose Main Tank$65.00

Gas Tank Filler Hose: Fits Auxiliary Tank
Gas Filler Hose Aux Tank$65.00

E-Brake Cables: This high quality, easy to install universal replacement
cable can replace the both rear sections on all years. Same as original
except it is longer and can be shortened to the length needed.
Universal Cable (1)$60.00

Steering Shaft Yokes

These yokes can be used to relieve shaft angles on one piece 3/4" round steering shafts like those found on 66-75 manual steering Broncos.
The one piece shafts are easy to identify because they have no rag joint or connector yoke other than at the steering box.
The Flaming River version is machined from aircraft steel to precision tolerances and is nickel plated to help prevent rust.
#1964 FLAME RIV  Steering shaft yoke 3/4x3/4 Flaming river  $100.00
#1964 SPICER  Steering shaft yoke 3/4x3/4 Spicer  $90.00

Custom Lower Steering Shaft
These are built to order using Flaming River components. Each custom shaft has has two steering yokes (one at each end).  The shaft is a special double D slip and collapsible shaft.
For 66-72 Broncos cutting, drilling and taping your existing upper shaft will be necessary for installation.
For 73-77 Broncos with 2 piece steering shaft, this will completely replace the lower shaft and it is a bolt-in installation.
Note - Please specify type of steering, year of box, Year of your Bronco, and any previous column changes, and size of body lift when ordering
Custom lower steering shaft.
